The JANUS Security System from Grosvenor Technology is a multi-user, multi-site card access and alarm monitoring system designed for use from 1 to 1000 readers. The Janus 4.0 software can be configured as either a stand-alone or multi-user system with integration capabilities to the Intellex range of DVRs, the Pelco switchers and the Bosch VIDOS software and Allegiant matrix switchers. The building block for the Janus system is the Janus Intelligent Door Controller IDC-485 or IDCe. Multiple IDC-485 units can be daisy-chained together onto one communication line. The IDCe is designed to drop directly onto a client's LAN and uses AES encryption to secure communication traffic. The Janus system also had an Intelligent Peripheral Controller IPC-485 or IPCe. Each IPC unit controls up to 16 inputs and 16 outputs. The IDC-485 is designed to integrate onto the Janus 485 communication infrastructure or the IDCe can be installed directly onto the client's LAN. The Janus system IDC Door Controllers can integrate any proximity, biometrics or card readers to allow total flexibility. |
